UNICEF, NCWD to assist public schools with infrastructure

The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) in collaboration with UNICEF and Blaugrana Sports International plan to assist in providing quality education and infrastructure for public schools.
Director General of NCWD, Mrs Epere-Ita disclosed this at a media briefing in Abuja.
Epere-Ita said: “UNICEF is hosting the project’ UNICEF legends for children’, and the main event tagged ‘ Gala night of legends’ the wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari will be conferred for advocacy work for the promotion of the development of the Nigerian girl-child.
“The ‘UNICEF legends for children’ events are being held to raise awareness and galvanise the Nigerian cooperate sector and general community at large.
“Charity donation will be made during the gala night, where the proceeds will be given to public schools, the selection of schools will be aided by the Ministry of Education.”
