The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in collaboration with Gombe state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency RUWASSA has trained Journalists on accelerating Faecal Sludge management strategy on how to be adopted in Gombe state.

Chief officer Bauchi Field office made this known on Wednesday, in Kwami local government area of Gombe state.

Dr. Rafique, who was represented by the WASH officer Bauchi Field office Nandam Michael, said the aimed of the training, was to intimate Journalists and other relevant stakeholders  to ensure that the Economic Power of Climate- Resilient Faecal Sludge management should be adopted  in Gombe with  need to  investigate FSM  properly and see how FSM can create jobs and economic opportunities.

She also explained that Women and Children are at risk or will be affected inline with the FSM in the future stressing the need where an Economic incentives can adopt FSM in the stat

She urged Gombe state government not to relent in ensuring that it give leverage on Climate Resilient  Sanitation Innovation by piloting scalable climate resilient technologie

“There is need  for the state government to key into by constructing more toilets inorder to integrate faecal sludge management to sustained ODF status”, she added.

Senator Shettima will join other leaders across Africa and beyond at the grand finale of activities marking the Golden Jubilee of the Central.
