The United States (US) National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said it is investigating the United Airlines flight mishap in Nigeria.

In a post on X on Tuesday, the NTSB said the airline’s Boeing 787-8 was traveling from Lagos to Washington Dulles International Airport when a sudden aircraft movement led to injuries of passengers and cabin crew.

“The incident occurred as the airplane was flying in Côte d’Ivoire airspace. The Bureau Enquêtes et Analyses of Côte d’Ivoire delegated the investigation to the NTSB,” the post reads.

According to the board, a preliminary report is expected to be released on its website in approximately 30 days.
