Senator representing Niger South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Peter Jiya Ndalikali, has stressed the need for Muslims to continuously practise all the good lessons learnt during the Ramadan period in their daily activities.
In a statement he issued in Bida, the Senator reminded the Muslims to pray for the progress of the nation as Ramadan teaches good virtues such as unity, sacrifice, patriotism, true worship, and good neighbourliness at all times.
He noted that for the nation to record success in all sectors of its life, citizens must recognize the importance of spiritual periods like Ramadan and as well utilise them to promote kindness, generosity and collective development of people so devotedly.
According to Ndalikali, “the Ramadan was a period of spiritual worship as evidenced in abstinence, sacrifice and devotion,” it is therefore important for muslims across the world to promote and sustain the excellent virtues for the benefit of all people, in all places.
The senator also enjoined them to use the occasion to reach out to the less privileged and continue to pray for the unity, peace and progress of the Senatorial District and the country at large.”
