A 33-year-old graduate of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijebu-Ode, Oluwatosin Otaiku was on Saturday, June 28 stabbed himself to death after his fiancée, Oluwatoyin Olaogun brought their relationship to an abrupt end.

The ugly incident took place at Safari Junction, in Onikolobo area of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital when neighbours who heard of Oluwatoyin’s decision to break up with her lover called the duo together to settle the misunderstanding between them.

Investigation by Peoples Daily revealed that Oluwatosin hid a knife in his pocket, which he brought out to stab himself, as Oluwatoyin stood firmly by her decision to end their relationship despite the intervention of neighbours and friends.
