The hit US crime drama has cast The Break-Up star Vince as a mobster who is worried about losing his empire in the aftermath of his business partner being killed, according to Screen Daily.
He is set to star alongside Colin, who will portray a troubled detective embroiled in a conspiracy after the murder and will find himself torn between his loyalty to the corrupt department he works for and Vince’s crime lord who is controlling him.
The first series of True Detective starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Series two’s other stars have not been announced yet, but the HBO eight-part drama is due to begin filming this autumn in California and Justin Lin is signed up to direct the first two episodes.
