The family of late Minister of Special Duties in General Sani Abacha’s regime, Alhaji Wada Nas has disowned one Imrana who has been parading himself as a son of the late minister.
One of the sons of the late minister, Alhaji Abubakar Wada Nas stated this in a press statement made available to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
According to him, the said Imrana in an interview granted to a national daily (not Peoples Daily) claimed to be the son of the late minister and one of his heirs.
The family said they would have ignored the claim of the said Imrana, but a statement credited to him in the interview that if Wada Nas were alive today he would have joined those plotting to pull down the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the statement, this is a figment of his imagination.
The family also said that, the said Imrana is a fraud who is plotting a way to gain political relevance in the country by hiding under the revered name of their father.
“We will like to make it categorically clear that the family of late Wada Nas disassociate itself from the false claims of Imrana and reiterate that we stand by President Muhammadu Buhari as he has been standing by us since our father returned to Allah and the conviction that Muhamadu Buhari means well for Nigeria.
“We therefore call on Imrana to desist making such false claims and focus on how to build his political career without having to ride on the reputation of our late father.
“Alhaji Wada Nas built his political career on hard work, perseverance, sincerity of purpose and with clear vision of what he wanted to achieve,” the statement said.
