Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase has joined other Nigerian leaders to congratulate the Deputy President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on the occasion of his 58th birthday.
In a congratulatory message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Muhammad Puma, Wase described Omo-Agege as “a resilient and focused leader whose love for the nation is never in doubt”.
Wase said the Deputy Senate president is one of the leaders that believes in the unity of the nation and is genuinely committed to the general wellbeing of every Nigerian.
“On behalf of my family, my constituents and indeed all my colleges in the House of Representatives, I wish to joyfully facilitate with my brother and colleague in the Red Chamber, the Deputy President of the Senate, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as he reaches the age of 58 today.
“We thank God for keeping you for the past 58 years and giving you the privilege to serve Nigeria at the top level. My prayers for you is for God to grant you many more healthy years and the wisdom to continue to serve our nation”.
According to Wase, the people of Delta Central Senatorial Zone did not make a mistake in electing Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for the second time to the senate adding that his years in the upper chamber have been very fruitful and beneficial.
He also described Omo-Agege as loyal party man and good team player whose support has kept the Senate steady under the leadership of Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
