Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has ordered the immediate distribution of diesel to all boreholes in Damaturu and its environs to ease the problem of water scarcity being faced in the past few days.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Baba Malam Wali, made the disclosure in Damaturu on Sunday.
“The Governor said there were enough diesel for distribution to enable the powering of all boreholes in the affected areas, promising that the problem would be resolved immediately.
“Residents of Damaturu and its environs had been battling with acute water scarcity as a result of the destruction of 330kv electricity line by some unknown vandals. “
