A Professor of Physics (Renewable Energy) Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Professor Baba Alfa has said that Nigeria cannot develop without science and technology.
Alfa made this known during the 23rd inaugural Lecture Series with the topic: Physics: Our Science, Our Technology, Our Prosperity at the main campus of the university in Lapai.
He described physics as a tool for development of the society.
The inaugural lecturer identified four areas of science and technology to include; basic science which is curiosity oriented, science in application, conventional low technology and high technology.
