The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, has said the Peoples democratic Party,PDP led government will consider all aspirants of the party for responsibility whether they emerge victorious of not.

He stated this during a reconciliation meeting held for Yobe state leaders of the PDP, held in Kaduna yesterday.

According to the Vice President, the government will exhibit the spirit of ‘carrying everybody along’ and that no aspirant that contested political office under the party’s umbrella will be dumped on his or her own, saying that rather they are part and parcel of PDP government.

Architect Namadi Sambo congratulated the Yobe State PDP members for agreeing to put aside rancour and bitterness that arose during the last primaries and agreed to work for the success of the party in Yobe state.

“You have set a good example for others to follow rather engage in anti party activities or decamping, you heeded to my call where we sought out the differences and agreed on a common ground with a promise to work for the success of PDP not only in Yobe state but in the entire North-East region. This is highly commendable and encouraging”, he said.

Speaking after the meeting, the leader of the Yobe state delegates, Dr. Abdu Bulama, who is also the Minister of Science and Technology, said, the day was very important to the indigenes of Yobe state, because “reconciliation has finally been achieved among party members in the state”.

According to Dr Bulama, some of the participants at the reconciliation meeting never saw eye to eye before yesterday’s meeting, “but here, they are shaking hands and hugging each other, with the assurance of working for the victory of the party”.

In his own remark, the PDP governorship candidate in Yobe state, Alhaji Maina Waziri, said with this development, PDP is assured of winning Yobe state hands down and redeeming the state from the bad governance that has caused the state so much in the past dispensation.

According to him, the problem in Yobe state is not that of insurgency but that of bad governance, which has led of poverty, infrastructural decay and insurgency, even as he assured the vice president that the party will bounce back.
