From Mustapha Adamu, Kano

The Kano State Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Comrade Muhammad Garba, has said that contrary to speculations going on in the state,
The government has no plan in stopping former governor of the state Dr Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso on his planned visit to the state.
According to Garba, the current administration had received high profile politicians and other individuals, adding that the same treatment would be accorded to Kwankwaso.
The commissioner, who stated this at a Press Conference to highlight the achievements of administration of governor Ganduje on Tuesday, said the governor was known for his generosity and hospitality to any visitor to this state.
He further said that the former deputy governor to Kwankwaso would never deprive any politician to exercise his political activities in the state, provided it is conducted through honor and decorum.
“Rumours were going on that the government of Ganduje will stop Kwankwaso from coming to Kano. This is not true.
“This administration of Ganduje is known for receiving high profile politicians. Everybody is aware of Ganduje’s history of honoring people, irrespective of status.
“We welcome Kwankwaso. Let him come and conduct his political activities. But what we will not condone is violence. We will not stop any politician to conduct his activities if it is peacefully and honorably,” Garba said
The two long political associates have been in a strain relationship since the beginning of Ganduje’s administration, and their crisis has affected the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.
Also, rumours were making the round that the former governor, now a senator representing Kano Central senatorial zone, would visit the state on January 31.
The rumors were greeted with different reactions from the warring party, casting fear that the visit may not augur well in the polity.
However, the commissioner said the state government was welcoming Kwankwaso whenever he decide to visit the state.
Garba also restated the current administration of Ganduje to complete the projects it inherited and the ones it initiated within 2018.
