The Arewa Youth Assembly has expressed commendation to Mr. Sunday Echono, the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), for winning two prestigious international awards.
The Assembly’s Speaker, Mohammed Salihu Danlami, in a commendation letter sent to Peoples Daily on Sunday, said the conferment of these awards is a testament to your gigantic contributions to education and entrepreneurship across Nigeria, Africa, and the world.
Danlami said your commitment to delivering high-quality education services and infrastructure, student welfare, academic staff training, and overall academic excellence by promoting research and innovation, especially to the tertiary education sector in Nigeria, is commendable.
“You are also ensuring that all graduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions achieve digital literacy before graduation in accordance with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration,” he added.
The statement reads in part: “The Arewa Youth Assembly congratulates you and the Tetfund under your able leadership for winning the African Leadership Excellence Award in Educational Development from the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, HE Philip Davis in London, and the 2024 Anthology Visionary Award for Leadership in Transforming Education through Technology in the USA.
“We are very proud of your numerous achievements since you assumed the leadership of Tetfund. As a youth organization, we are happy to associate with your esteemed personality because of the transparency, accountability, innovation, initiative, and patriotism that your leadership has brought to TETFund.
“We have no other way to thank and encourage you for restoring the lost glory in our tertiary institutions than to confer on you the Arewa Youth Assembly’s highest-ranked educational honorary title of ‘JAGORAN ILIMIN NAJERIYA’, to further consolidate your efforts and appreciate you for placing Nigeria’s name so high on the global scale of education.
“As you continue to serve our dear country and humanity, my prayer is for Almighty Allah to continue to protect you and give you more wisdom to continue to actualize the educational plans of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Congratulations once again, and accept the assurances of our highest regards.”
