West African principal managers’ training workshop opens in Benin

West African principal manager’ capacity training workshop has opened in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.

The two weeks training programme is for 32 delegates from Gambia, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. They are to undergo the training at the Nigeria postal Institute, Egor Quarters in Egor Local government area of the State.

Speaking yesterday, at the opening Ceremony, post Master General of the Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Mori Baba, sued for sustained capacity training for its Staff, which was sponsored by Universal postal union (UPU).

He said most postal Administrations in Africa, including Nigeria are leveraging on Information communication technology (ICT) to provide services that meet customers demand.

Minister of Science and technology, Professor Omobolaji Johnson assured that the training would revive postal operations and service delivery with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sub-region.
