The Impeached President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari has been re-arrested by men of the State Security Service a week ago after he was arrested and released.
It is said that the erstwhile president was gathering some members of the states FA Chairmen in Abuja with a view to nullifying his impeachment.
About sixteen states FA Chairmen are already in Abuja, gearing up for a meeting which was expected to hold today to take the decision.
But report has it that the men of the State Security Service have condone of the venue where the meeting was supposed to hold thereby preventing them from meeting.
The plan was for the FA Chairman to restore Maigari back to office and Maigari was supposed to use his connection with FIFA to make them receive the letter from the FA Chairmen informing them of his return to office.
Maigari and some of his loyalist in the board is said to be footing the bills of the FA Chairmen stay in Abuja and paying their allowances.
According to the text messages used in inviting some of the FA Chairmen, it read “Salam, senior Stakeholders, you are kindly requested by president Aminu Maigari to meet him in Abuja tomorrow for discussion and, necessary logistic has been put in place. Call PA to president. Allah ya kawoka lafiya,”
