The Kano state Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa has expressed confidence that the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf will be re-elected in 2027 election.
The Chairman said the governor has turned many things around within just one year in office.
At a press conference he organized to celebrate the governor’s one year in office, Mr Dungurawa said the governor would serve two terms in view of his achievements in almost every strata of development.
According to Mr Dungurawa, governor Yusuf had achieved tremendous success in the are of economy, education, health and infrastructure.
“Even yesterday, the governor launched the empowerment of N50,000 to 5,200 women across the 44 Local Government areas of the state.
“ The governor will be doing this every month throughout his tenure. Human development is the NNPP’s cardinal principles,” he said.
Mr Dungurawa also said Mr Yusuf’s one year in office had outshone what he described as “messy 8 years of Ganduje administration “
According to him, the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje had put Kano to shame in the eye of the world in several ways.
“This is the governor that had committed an unprecedented shameful act when he was shown in video, stuffing Wada of dollars into his pocket.
“No governor, whether Muslim or Christian, Northerner of southerner, civilian or military had done what Ganduje did.
“Let me tell you people of Kano were sick and tired of Ganduje, that is why they massively voted against his annointed candidate.
“Kano people never enjoyed Ganduje’s administration, that is why they did not vote for his party,” Mr Dungurawa said.
The party Chairman assured the Kano people that what governor Yusuf had done is a tip of the iceberg, assuring that more projects would be executive for the betterment of the people.
While assuring 5 million votes for Mr Yusuf in 2027 election, Mr Dungurawa also urged women and youth in the state to keep supporting the party at state and voted for national leader of NNPP , Rabi’u Kwankwaso for presidency..
“Keep your PVCs safely. Go out en masse and vote for Abba. We target 5 million votes in 2027. We will also voted for Kwankwaso, who we believe is the best candidate to correct the mess of this country,” he said.
