Why I’m Solidly Supporting Barau Jibrin – Alfindiki
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Faizu Alfindiki, has explained the reasons behind his support for the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, citing the lawmaker’s impactful leadership and commitment to the growth and development of the youth and the less privileged.
Alfindiki said his support transcends political calculations and is rooted in what he described as the senator’s enduring dedication to the development of Kano State and the upliftment of ordinary citizens.
Speaking on his relationship with the deputy senate president, Alfindiki said that although he hails from Kano Central, he shares common values and aspirations with Barau, which have strengthened their bond over the years.
“My support for Senator Barau is based on conviction and his record of service. He has consistently demonstrated love for Kano and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of the people, especially youths and the less privileged,” he said.
According to him, Barau has distinguished himself through initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for young people, empowering communities, and supporting vulnerable groups across the state.
Alfindiki further commended the senator’s political maturity, saying he had on several occasions placed the collective interest of Kano above personal ambition.
“One of the qualities I admire most about him is his willingness to make sacrifices for the unity, stability, and progress of Kano. He has repeatedly shown that leadership is about service and not self-interest,” he stated.
The APC stalwart argued that leaders should be judged by their impact on society, adding that Barau’s contributions in education, empowerment, and social intervention have earned him widespread support beyond political and geographical boundaries.
He expressed confidence that the deputy senate president’s leadership style and developmental vision would continue to attract support from individuals and groups committed to the advancement of Kano State.
“Senator Barau’s concern for the downtrodden, his investment in the future of young people, and his unwavering commitment to Kano’s progress are the reasons I proudly stand with him,” Alfindiki added.
