Why President Tinubu needs to attend 2023 National Agric Show – NAFN Chairman

Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the National Agricultural Foundation of Nigeria (NAFN), Arc Kabir Ibrahim has explained why it is important for President Bola Tinubu to personally attend this year’s annual National Agricultural Show.
NAFN is the organizer of the annual Show, which is now in its 15th edition.
The annual event is slated for 20th – 24th November, 2023 at the permanent National Agric Showground, KM 28 Abuja-Keffi road, Tudun Wada, Karu LGA of the Nasarawa state.
Arc Ibrahim who is also the National President of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), explained that since the administration of President had declared a state of emergency in the food security, it was imperative for him to grace the event which would assemble every Nigerian farmers in one place.
He said the Show would be the best opportunity for the President to directly communicate his policy to the farmers who would see to the success of his administration’s policy in agriculture.
He said: “I would like to inform you that the Agric Show slated for 20th to 24th November 2023 on the permanent site at KM 28 Abuja-Keffi road will provide AFAN and all stakeholders in the Agriculture space immense visibility and dominance of Nigeria’s Agric Space, going forward.
“We invited Mr President and implored him to grace the occasion as a sign of his commitment to the attainment of “FOOD SECURITY”as declared by him.
“The declaration of a “State of Emergency” on Food Security calls for decisive action, the hallmark of which is Incentivizing the SHFs to work assiduously in a secure environment towards its attainment.
“The administration should “Walk its Talk” on account of the attainment of sustainable FOOD SECURITY amidst the serious challenges of Climate Change, Insecurity, Crashing Inflation and the wars between Ukraine and Russia and the recent one between HAMAS (Palestine) and Israel.”
