Why we involve marketing company in National Festival Games- Olusade

The federal ministry of youth and sports development has said that the unveiling of marketing company to managing the affair of the 19th National Sports Festival (NSF) will help the ministry in securing sequence hosting states.
The chairman of the Main Organizing Committee (MOC) of the NSF who double as the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Adesola Olusade who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja, said the fiesta has suffer a setback in securing hosting state as well as raising fund for the games.
Olusade noted that the ministry and sports stakeholders have taken due cognizance of the challenges facing states to host the games, prompt the ministry to get marketing company to managing the affair of NSF in order to avoid further delay of hosting the games.
“We decided that the way forward is to involve the private sector in managing the NSF. We believed that by involving private sector will enable the ministry achieve a world standard fiesta, “he said.
The permanent secretary reiterated that the contract was given out after exhaustive deliberations with the ministry and decided to partner with Greenfield Assets, a consummate project management company to handle the NSF for the next 10 years.
“The ministry has confidence in private sector because managing it activities will give confidence to participants who believe in the games,” Olusade said.
However, the chairman noted that the ongoing Torch of Unity round major cities in the country with mascot are been supported by the private sector.
