FCT minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike has assured residents, particularly those living in rural areas that the current administration remains determined to ensure they feel the impact of governance.
Wike gave the assurance yesterday while flagging off the construction of a 1.7 km interdistrict road otherwise known as the collector road and engineering facilities connecting Daki biyu, Utako, Jabi and Wuye districts of Abuja.
He opined that having carried out four consecutive days of flagging-off of new projects within the city centre, his administration will be revisiting the six area councils from next Monday to commence another rounds of construction of people impacting projects.
While expressing appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for prioritising wellbeing of rural dwellers in the FCT in his project distributions, which will improve their welfare and raise their standards of living.
Furthermore, stressing the need to improve the aesthetics of the capital city in line with modern day realities, the minister disclosed that his administration will soon embark on the upgrade of Garki Area 1 and other old neighbourhoods in the capital city, as they are in dire need of facelift.
