Offices and businesses have resumed full operations yesterday in Kaduna after the New Year holiday break.
An investigation by Peoples Daily revealed that for many, the New Year holiday was a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
“It was a great opportunity to relax and recharge,” said Kikelomo, a restaurant operator in Kaduna.
“I spent time with family and friends, and we had a blast celebrating the New Year.”
As the holiday drew to a close, residents began to return to their daily routines. Businesses and offices reopened, bringing the city back to life.
“It’s good to be back,” said Ahmed, a small business owner. “The holiday was fun, but I need to get back to work to make ends meet.”
The streets were filled with people hurrying to work, and traffic was heavy as commuters navigated the city. “The roads were chaotic this morning,” said John, a driver. “But I guess it’s back to normal now.”
In the markets, traders were busy setting up their stalls and preparing for another day of business. “Sales were good during the holiday, but we’re expecting even better business now that people are back,” said Obinna Kalu, a market trader at Sheikh Abubakar Gummi Market.
The New Year holiday had brought a sense of hope and renewal to many residents of Kaduna. “I made some resolutions for the new year, and I’m determined to stick to them,” said Temiloluwa Ruth Oyelola, a young professional. “I’m hoping for a better year, both personally and professionally.”
As people returned to work, excitement and anticipation filled the atmosphere. “I’m looking forward to a productive year,” said Edirin Robinson, a journalist based in Kaduna. “We have some big projects on the horizon, and I’m eager to get started.”
