From Godwin Agia, Jalingo

Mr. Hussaini S Zuppai, State president of the association in a press conference in Jalingo, wondered why the Karimjos whom the Wurkuns have coexisted with for years, and have intermarried, have decided to choose the path of unrest against the Wurkuns in the recent time.
He however appealed to the parties involve to sheath their sword and allow peace a chance. Just as he said, never in the history of the world, differences are resolved in the battle field.
“Both my people the (Wurkun), and Karimjo have no reason to fight each other. We have coexisted for years and have intermarried.
“Whatever that is the case, we wish to appeal to the parties involve to seize fire and allow peace a chance for the development of our area.
“We wish to appeal to governor Agbu Kefas to intervene in the situation and set up an independent commission of inquiry into the crisis, ensure the implementation of it’s findings as a sure way to lasting peace in the area.”
