Yobe Govt names new Ngalda market after Gombe gov

The Yobe State Government has officially commissioned the newly constructed Ngalda Modern Market in Fika Local Government Area, renaming it as the Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya Modern Market in honour of the Gombe State Governor.
The inauguration ceremony was jointly performed by Governor Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni and his counterpart, Gov. Inuwa Yahaya, alongside the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari.
Speaking at the event, Governor Buni explained that the decision to name the market after Governor Yahaya was in recognition of his outstanding contributions to governance, infrastructural development, and the strengthening of inter-state relations.
He described the gesture as a symbol of appreciation for Yahaya’s visionary leadership and commitment to improving the lives of citizens.
Buni further stressed that the honour underscores the spirit of collaboration among states in driving regional development, economic integration, and sustainable growth in the North-East and beyond.
