Yobe govt. ratifies N9.21 bn for projects

Yobe state executive council during its meeting yesterday, presided by the Governor Mai Mala Buni, approved the sum of N9.21 billion for the execution of capital projects that has direct impact on the live of the citizens.
This was contained in a press statement from the office of the commissioner for home affairs, information and culture, Abdullahi Bego and made available to Peoples Daily in Damaturu, the state capital.
Out of the amount, NI.3 million was ratified for the construction of 12 kilometer double-coated surface-dressed Damagum to Gubana road in Fune local government area and the sum of N1.97 for the construction of 16 kilometer Nguru-Balanguwa Asphalt road in Nguru local government area.
Another sum of N299.9 was ratified for the reconstruction of damaged areas and structures at the Nguru Irrigation Scheme Phase I in Nguru local government area, while the sum of N 397.5 was approved for the construction of 1.5-kilometer road and 3.0 kilometer concrete drainage linking Mallummatari-Gujba road dual carriageway in Damaturu local government area.
Other capital expenditure also ratified by the council include the sum of N329.3 for the supply of project vehicles, customised tricycle ambulances, customised MAMA kits and bags, HIV rapid test kits, and rehabilitation of midwife quarters at Primary Health Care Center , Ashekeri in Gaidam Local Government area.
The sum of N 2.4 billion was ratified for the construction of Gashu’a Modern Market, while the sum of N2.4 billion was approved for the construction of Potiskum modern market, among others.
