The Nigeria Union of Jjournalists Yobe State Council has felicitated with the Yobe State Governor Hon Mai Mala Buni as his administration clocked one hundred days in the office.
In a statement issued and signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Yusuf Alhaji Isah, noted with satisfaction the successes recorded so far within the first hundred days in office of Governor Mai Mala.
“We have noticed with satisfaction the progress made so far and this is clear indication that this administration is ready to deliver the mandate giving by the people of the state”.
“Therefore the NUJ will continue to support the present government with his policies and programs.”
The chairman therefore called on all journalists in the state to report objectively the activities of the state government among others.
He equally appealed to government to hasten the completion of the NUJ Press Centre which contract has been awarded by the Yobe State government.
The union also commended Governor Mai Mala for taking the bull by the horn to improve the services of Yobe Radio and Television in the state.
The chairman assured government of journalists support at all times and where necessary government attention will also be drawn for better service delivery.
