The Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organization, has donated relief materials worth millions of Naira to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDP’s camped at Damare NYSC camp in the outskirt of Adamawa state capital, at the weekend.

Items donated include, 500 pieces of mattresses, 1000 pieces of mats, 2000 pieces of blankets and 500 cartons of noodles.

While presenting the relief materials, the Deputy Director, Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organization (NURCO), Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi, said the materials were provided as a token to alleviate the sufferings of the victims of the insurgent attacks taking refuge at the NYSC camp.

Abdullahi, who was a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, noted that, the Campaign Organization earnestly feels the suffering and agony of the displaced people and prayed to God Almighty to bring normalcy to the affected areas for the people to go back home and reunite with their families.

He urged all and sundry to engage in fervent prayers for the menace to be nipped in the bud.

In his remarks, the Executive Secretary Adamawa State Emergency Management  Agency, Mallam Haruna Hamma Furo, promised to make judicious use of the materials for the purpose it was intended adding that he had set up 8 sub committees to ensure equitable distribution of relief materials brought into the camp.

He similarly thanked the Ribadu Campaign Organization urging other well  placed individuals to emulate the gesture in order to reduce to the barest minimum, the hardship being encountered by the IDP’s.
