The Otunba (Yoruba Leader) of Yoruba Community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Dr. Wasiu Tunwase, has charged president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deem it necessary to put in place infrastructural facilities across the states of the Federation for the benefit of Nigerians.
He also urged president Tinubu to focus on the socio-economic development of the country in order to arrest the poverty facing the masses in the society.
Tunwase, who gave the charge while speaking to Peoples Daily Correspondent during the Sallah celebration, also asked Tinubu to gear towards improving the standard of education in the country.
He then called on the Senators as well as the lawmakers to join hands with Nigeria president to arrest the security challenges facing the country for so long now.
He also pleaded with Nigerian Senators and lawmakers to put a stop to corruption which had eaten deep unto the fabric of our nation and urged them to sanitise Judiciary to have a standing order for everybody.
He, therefore, charged Nigerians irrespective of their religious affiliation to support and co-operate with the present government for the overall development of the country.
Otunba appealed to Yoruba people to continue to love one another and urged them to always accord respect to their chiefs or obas in their communities.
