The Nigeria Youth Alliance (NYA) has lauded the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) for some of it’s recent successes against all forms of criminality across the country.
The NYA further commended the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor for keeping to his words that he and the newly promoted Service Chiefs would ensure that Nigerians no longer live in fear NYA in a press release signed by the President, Atanda Mojeed and Secretary, Okolie Madu said that recently men of the Armed Forces of Nigeria prevented Boko Haram fighters from mounting a barricade on Damaturu-Maiduguri highway in Borno State.
“Also, hideouts of bandits in two local government areas of Chikun and Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State, killing scores of them (bandits) was bombarded by men of the AFN
“The NAF jet in an aerial mission hit the bandits at Gwagwada, Chikun, Kuduru, Chukuba, Erina, Kushaka, Dogon Gona, Kusasu, Sarkin Pawa, Kurebe and Falleli around the Kaduna-Niger interstate boundaries, killing several numbers of the bandits on motorcycles.
“The successes against the bandits was confirmed by the Kaduna State Commissoner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan.
“Meanwhile, same period, 10 foreign workers and four Nigerians who were kidnapped off the coast of Gabon were rescued by men of the AFN.
“The Nigerian Youth Alliance commends the CDS for his able Leadership of the AFN which has resulted in this remarkable successes.”
