Youths condemn indiscriminate killings nationwide

The Coalition of All Ethnic Youth Nationalities in Nasarawa, has condemned the wanton killings of innocent citizens of Nigeria on the daily basis.
Briefing Newsmen in Lafia the state capital on the ugly situation at the NUJ Press Centre yesterday, the Coordinator Coalition of All Ethnic Youth Nationalities in Nasarawa Sate, Barrister Iliya Ashokpa Auna called on the security agencies and government at all levels to live up to the task of securing lives and properties of Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion.
According to him, we condemn the attack on Tiv Communities in the Southern Zone and Bassa/Igbira Communities in the Western Zone of Nasarawa State. We condemn in totality the high rate of other crimes such as Robbery, kidnapping and child abuse in the state and the country as a whole.”
Speaking further on politics, Barr. Iliya demanded decorum on the part of politicians, urging them to play according to the rules of the game and stop using youths as thugs for their evil quest.
The coalition also appealed that for the purpose of equity, fairness and unity, the seat for Governorship of the seat should be zone to Nasarawa North in 2019 general election.
“We have collectively agreed that Nasarawa North be given the opportunity to produce the next Governor. We are appealing to all political parties to zone their Tickets to the Nasarawa North” He maintained.
Barrister Iliya also solicited the support of Traditional rulers, civil servants, civil society, indigenes and non-indigenes living in the State to work towards a hitch free and peaceful elections in 2019.
