Reverend Father Andrew Kondonvoh has urged Christians to be joyful and attract people to God during the Christmas festivity.

The catholic priest of Annunciation Catholic Church at Ogunu in Warri gave the charge in his sermon during the annual thanksgiving mass service of the prestigious Agbarha Warri League.

He stated that Christians ought to be the Ark of the Covenant of Jesus Christ during the festivity.

“ People should be happy when they encounter us ; Our lifestyle should draw people to God,” Ft Kondonvoh stated.

He added that Christians should make sacrifices in order to attract people to God.

The catholic priest praised the foremost Agbarha Warri socio / cultural association for the thanksgiving mass service.

The President of Agbarha Warri League , Edema Fuludu (MON), who spoke at the thanksgiving mass service, disclosed that the association was composed of members of the seven Agbarha Warri communities in Agbarha Warri Kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area.

He explained that the Agbarha Warri League was formed 37 years ago to promote unity and progress of the ancient Urhobo kingdom of Agbarha Warri.

High point of the event was a special thanksgiving by members of the association with a sizeable ram among other foodstuffs 

Meanwhile the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ika North East Chapter, Hon. Chukwudi Agboma, has called on Deltans to continue to support Governor Okowa in his drive to positively transform the state.

Hon. Agboma gave the charge during an enlarged meeting of leaders and stakeholders of the party, held at its secretariat in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

While thanking the party faithful for their commitments and dedication, he enjoined them to remain focused.

“Remain faithful and committed to the party’s affairs because it is the only way you can be recognised as well as gaining something good from the party. Desist from moving from one political party to another,” he stated.

Speaking further, Hon. Agboma stressed that Governor Okowa remained the leader of the PDP in Delta State and had not picked any aspirant as his successor, adding that should not  be distracted by any group or individuals campaigning that Governor Okowa had anointed them.

In his remarks, the former Chairman of PDP in Ika North East, Chief Godwin Ogadi, noted that Governor Okowa had surpassed the expectations of many people, including his critics, saying that his achievements in the state were monumental.

 

Also speaking, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, Barr. Solomon Atube, maintained that the 2023 election would be a work over for PDP in the state due to Governor Okowa’s developmental strides across the state.
