Yuletide: FRSC sensitises road users in Kuje

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), in Kuje Area council of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has offered safety tips to road users within Kuje axis, in order to curb crashes during and after yuletide season.
The Unit Commander, Solomon Igbogbo, has enjoined road users in the area to adhere strictly to simple traffic rules and regulations while driving during the festive period.
He disclosed this while encouraging motoring public to drive road worthy vehicles and avoid being drunk before plying road.
The commander said people should obey traffic rules, especially pedestrians should shun backing oncoming vehicles in the area.
He noted that the command would continue with public education beyond the ember months.
Igbogbo who is an Assistant Corps Commander, ACC, implored okada riders to shun route violation in the area.
He applauded the efforts of the chairman of the council, Hon. Abdullahi Galadima for keying into the programmes of the command aimed at bringing sanity in the area.
He warned motorists in Kuje and environs to desist committing traffic violation, noting that the focused of the corps at the festive season would be on overloading, over speeding and using phones while driving to avoid crashes.
The Kuje FRSC boss reiterated commitment to staging advocacy campaign in mosques and churches to sensitise the members on the need to shun primary offences with a view to reducing road crashes to the barest minimum.
Furthermore, he called on other security agents to complement the efforts of FRSC on the campaign against traffic violations.
