The Kaduna State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police CP Rabiu Muhammad, psc, mni, has conducted a joint anti-crime patrol and monitoring of the Kaduna-Abuja Highway to ensure the safety and security of all commuters on a 24-hour basis.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by DSP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command.
It explained that the patrol exercise was conducted in collaboration with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, reinforcing inter-command cooperation and enhancing security along this central transit corridor to the northern region.
The operation also covered all border areas between Kaduna State and the Federal Capital Territory, aiming to deter criminal activities, enhance visibility policing, and reassure both commuters and residents that adequate security measures are in place before, during, and after the festive season.
The statement, quoted by CP Rabiu Muhammad, emphasized that the Command is committed to safeguarding commuters, resients, and travelers. He assured the public that patrols and surveillance would be sustained throughout the festive season and beyond to prevent any form of criminal activity.
The Commissioner also praised the military and other security agencies for their substantial contributions to policing the highway. He urged individuals spreading negative publicity about the road on social media to cease, warning that they would face the full consequences of the law.
The statement called for the public’s cooperation to achieve success in the Command’s efforts to ensure a safe and secure festive season.
