Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger State Command has deployed 1,700 personnel across the state as part of its efforts to ensure a hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebration in the state.
The State Commandant, Abdullahi Adamu Kambra in a statement issued in Minna, said the deployment is aimed at providing adequate security coverage before, during, and after the celebrations.
Kambra emphasized that the deployment is also intended to protect critical national assets and infrastructure in the state.
The Commandant charged the personnel to exhibit a high level of professionalism and work collaboratively with other security agencies in the state, while he assured the people of Niger State of adequate security during the Christmas and New Year season.
He therefore called on the general public to assist in reporting any suspicious activities or movements to the NSCDC or any other security organization.
