Zamfara state Acting Governor, Malam IBrahim Wakkala, has described the re-election of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state as the key opener for the success of the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s in the forthcoming general elections across the country.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau, which was made available to newsmen yesterday, Wakalla commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for selfishless conduct of the election.
While congratulating the governor, the state acting governor maintained that Aregbesola ran a people-oriented government which places premium on social welfare, empowerment, and socio-economic development during his first tenure.
He prayed for Almighty God to continue to guide him as he settles down to steer the state affairs for another four year term, adding that his re- election was a victory of truth over falsehood.
Commenting further, the acting governor also noted the maturity and doggedness exhibited by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress(APC), saying that such tactics ensured the landslide victory recorded by the party.
“The success is a strong signal that APC is battle ready to ensure total victory in the forthcoming 2015 general elections”, the statement stressed.
