The Chairman of the Committee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Zamfara state, Dr. Abubakar Fari has declared the election conducted yesterday cancelled.
This followed formidable malpractices which took over the expected smooth running of the exercise across almost the 147 wards of the state by yet-to-be identified groups of factional supporters of candidates leading to deadly confrontations.
The Committee Chairman further said a new primary election date will be announced by the national headquarters of the APC.(Details later)
