Zamfara: APGA guber candidate promises 147 capacity maternal wards at 147 wards

The Zamfara state gubernatorial candidate on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, has promised to construct 147 maternal wards at each of the 147 wards of the 14 local government areas of the state with a view to provide a doorstep maternal care for women if voted as governor.
Shinkafi made the declaration during the flag off ceremony of the APGA gubernatorial campaign at Gusau Airstrip, saying “My administration will amongst other important issues give priority on security, health and food security, as these would no doubt help control security challenges bedeviling the state”.
Shinkafi further said that the security challenges could not be conquered no matter the number of security operatives without addressing factors leading to the cause.
“In my blueprint, my administration will embark on contacting economic experts with a view to finding formidable ways of creating jobs for our teeming youths, promote education sector, as well as so much that their attention would be captured and changed to good”, he said.
The candidate said that he has a well designed blueprint made up of competitive ideas by experts on various disciplines capable of rescuing the state economy and moving the entire state to the next level.
“My aim is to introduce meaningful programmes which contain measures to improve the well being of the good people of the state”, he said.
He further promised to ensure all funds allocated to the state would be judiciously utilized so as to fight down the rate of poverty, illiteracy and unemployment in the state.
“These have contributed immensely to the growing rate of street begging and other criminal activities in the state”, according to him.
Sani Shinkafi lamented failure of administrations in succession to utilize all available resources in the state in saving the face of the Zamfara, making her to crawl amongst the other developed states across the nation, especially in terms of delivery of dividends of democracy as expected.
