Governor-elect Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara State has assured of immediate positive change of the entire face of the state with a view to fulfilling the dreams peoples have for their living in terms of providing adequate security and other most needed demands.
Dr. Dare made the declaration on Tuesday in Gusau during his maiden broadcast to the state, saying his first priority are security, education, health and agriculture as the sectors have been marked as the pivot of economic progress.
“We are all aware of the security situation our beloved state is facing, our farmers have been compelled to vacate their farmlands, the situation which rocked our good people across the fourteen local government councils of the state into abject poverty and hunger.
“After taking Oath of Office, my administration will strive to rescue and protect the integrity of our teeming people whose lives were devastated by the lingering insecurity and are currently stranded while wandering for survival in the state’ the Governor-elect has assured.
He further informed of his determination to address problems that hinder the education sector from meeting the required volume of global standardization, adding that, “Zamfara State has been left far behind in the national education ranking mirror”.
The Governor-elect thanked all the good people of the state for giving the mandate to run the affairs of the state to the next four years, assuring that he will run an opened door and all inclusive government with a view to move the state to the expected level.
He called on all his supporters and that of the PDP in the state to remain law abiding and not to engage in any activity that will lead to break of law and order in the name of jubilation for his victory.
