Zamfara: Jaji political group trains 200 social media handlers

Zamfara State political group Aminu Sani Media Office in collaboration with Media and Publicity Consult (MPC) trained 200 Social Media Handlers (SMH) on constitutional-based political reports.
Speaking during the opening of the one day workshop at Command’s Guest Inn Gusau Zamfara State capital, a visiting lecturer of Mass Communication of ZACAS Gusau, Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji, said the aim of the workshop is to educate SMH on how best they would report political happenings in a constitutionally acceptable ways in the state.
Birnin Magaji further informed that, it is imperative for the SMH to be educated on the danger of making anyhow postings across platforms pertaining politics and even non political without giving regards to whether it would generate violence.
Also speaking, former Chairman of the NIPR Zamfara State wing, Alhaji Nasiru Biyabiki, warned that, SMH community should avoid postings that could generate hatred among the teeming readers or listeners.
