The Zamfara Miners Co-operatives Society has congratulated Hajia Fatima Umaru-Shinkafi on her reappointment as the Executive Secretary of the Solid Minerals Development Fund/Presidential Artisanal Gold Mining Initiative (SMDF/PAGMI) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the group’s Chairman, Alhaji Bello Usman Bagega, described the reappointment as a recognition of Umaru-Shinkafi’s unwavering commitment, integrity, and professionalism in driving economic diversification and improving living standards in Nigeria.
“Her managerial acumen, tenacity of purpose, and vast experience in the solid minerals sector have transformed SMDF/PAGMI into a private-sector-driven initiative instrumental in revamping the economy,” Bagega said.
The statement highlighted Umaru-Shinkafi’s leadership in fostering collaboration with organizations like the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), which has helped attract foreign investment and maximize Nigeria’s solid mineral deposits.
“She is an asset to President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its resolve to turnaround the nation’s economy and achieve sustainable development,” Bagega added.
The group expressed its commitment to partnering with SMDF/PAGMI to advance the solid minerals sector, praising Umaru-Shinkafi as a “quintessential administrator” whose leadership aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of delivering democratic dividends to citizens.
The Zamfara Miners Co-operatives Society also urged Nigerians to support and pray for Umaru-Shinkafi as she continues to chart the path forward for the sector.
“It is a new dawn in accelerating the President’s vision for economic growth and prosperity,” the statement said.
