Zamfara Mornach Hosts Durbar In Quest To Revive Abandoned Cultures/Traditions

In an effort to revive the long abandoned custodianship of culture, tradition and history, the emir of Kiyawan Kaura Namoda of Zamfara State, HRH Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha, has staged a durbar being part of events for the 2026 Sallah activities.

Speaking shortly after the colourful durbur at Kaura Namoda emirate, HRH Sanusi Asha, said not much would be done to revive the dormant roles practiced by traditional rulers in efforts of giving royal contributions towards building a peaceful and educated community, as well as making the society safe and secured.

The emir has commended the present Governor Lawal-led administration as it widely opened all doors for traditional rulers to become partners in the provision of education and needed health services, as well as to security agencies in providing security of lives and property in the state.

“Our security agencies need the services of traditional rulers to carryout their duties as we have representatives across the local government area who have knowledge on the identities of all that live under their areas, the development that facilitate the quick identification newcomers and their businesses.

“Let me use this medium to further laud the state Governor for considering the construction and rehabilitations of Kaura Namoda emirate to the standard which aimed at providing enabling environment for royal activities for the rapid development of the domain and the state at large.

“We must appreciate this administration having done a lot in the areas of security, education and health for the betterment of the good people of Kaura Namoda as promised during his campaign tours, today, my emirate has witnessed constructions and rehabilitations of classrooms, upliftment of Primary Health Cares.

In his remarks, Governor Dauda Lawal who was represented by the state head of service, Yakubu Mu’azu Haidara, assured good people of the state of the continued commitments towards building new Zamfara State.

The HOS disclosed that, the present administration has given priority on security issues affecting the state, saying, “The state government has recently provided our security agencies with large number of armoured fighting vehicles and drones to support our gallant troops to end the lingering banditry in the state”, Haidara has added.

Yakubu Haidara further explained that, Governor Dauda Lawal has changed the narration of Zamfara State politics as he executed numerous economic-driven projects including the about-to-be commissioned Gusau International Airport, adding that, the Governor received number of awards of excellence over wonderful performance across many key sectors within just 3 years.
