Zamfara: NGO sensitizes communities to seek for access to justice

A Zamfara-based Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI) has sensitized four communities in Zamfara State on how best they could gain access to justice.
The sensitisation programmes which have been held in Tsafe, Bilbis, Birnin Magaji and Nasarawa Godel communities under Birnin Magaji and Tsafe local government areas of the state were targeted at encouraging communities to always vote for access to Justice.
It was conducted by the NGO Voluntary Aid Initiative (VAI) in collaboration with Ukaid funded organisation “International Alert” under a project Promoting Stability, Access to Justice and Accountability.
Speaking at Nasarawa Godel community, the Executive Director of the VAI, Musa Umar urged the participants to support one another in addressing problems that affect their community.
Umar noted that the tittle of the sensitization is “Campaign for Increased Access to Justice by addressing the Barriers”.
Umar who appreciates the turnout of the participants further called on them to extend the message to their respective homes and localities effective implementation of the objectives.
Responding, the members of the communities have unanimously assured the Executive Director of their commitment in addressing the challenges of Access to Justice.
