Three serving Director-Generals in the administration of Governor AbdulAzeez Yari Abubakar of Zamfara have resigned their positions.

The DGs also announced their intention to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying they have never been engaged by Governor Yari on any of the responsibilities conferred on their offices as enacted by law.

Speaking on a local FM radio station in Gusau, the state capital, they informed the people of a joint decision to tender resignation letters following consultations with the grassroots politicians in their constituencies.

 Those who resigned were Mustafa Sani Bukkuyum, who served as D-G, Office of the executive governor, Shehu Adamu Yanware D-G, Inter-party relations and Haruna Muhammad Jangebe, DG, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) in the state.

 As part of their grievances, the DGs said they never met with the governor even once since he assumed office, lamenting further that he was avoiding the electorates who voted him to power and that his government has no human feelings.
