“From our investigations, the men hired the commercial bus and were going for an official engagement”, he further disclosed.

He attributed the crash to wrong overtaking by the driver of the commercial bus who left his lane on top speed and unfortunately collided with the tanker.

An eyewitness also alleged that the accident was caused by over speeding on the part of the driver of the commercial bus who was in hurry to overtake two vehicles in front of him.

“We counted ten people who died at the spot while two others were seriously injured and three other persons were lucky to survive the crash as they did not sustain any injury”, the witness stressed.
