A 12 year old boy, Kumater Kachii drowned in Mkar dam in Gboko local government area of Benue State, at the weekend.
Kaachi, who resides on Trinity Primary school street in Akaajime, Gboko LGA was said to have gone to fetch firewood at Mkar hill on Saturday, 22rd June, 2024 with his brothers.
Mother of the deceased Mrs Veronica Sesugh Kachii who confirmed the incident, said after fetching the firewoods, they proceeded to swim in a dam at the same Mkar hill where he (kumater Kachii got drowned and died.
“With the help of farmers and Mkar youths, his body was recovered and taken to his family’s residence at Akaajime and they proceeded to his home town, branch, Kunav, Vandekya Local Government area the same day for burial”.
