The institutions are Junior Secondary School (JSS), Jikwoyi and JSS, Garki, that beat 21 others schools from around the country at the SAGE national competition which took place in Lagos in June 2014.wo Federal Capital Territory (FCT) schools will this month represent Nigeria at the 2014 Students’ Advancement for Global Entrepreneurship (SEGE) world cup in Moscow, in Russia.
The competition which is a global championship designed to encourage business and entrepreneurial acumen among secondary and high school student from around the world is divided into two categories.
According to a report in the weekly publication of the FCT administration, these are the socially responsible business (SRB) and social enterprise business (SEB).
While JSS Garki will represent Nigeria in the SRB category, the JSS Jikwoyi will represent the country in the SEB category, in the contest slated for the 8th to the 15th of August in Moscow, Russia.
It may be recalled that Nigeria as represented by FCT schools has participated in the SAGE world cup since 1997 and won the first place trophies in Ukraine in2007, Abuja, 2008, brazil, 2009, Buffalo, UAS, in 2011, san Francisco, UAS in 2012 and Abuja, in 2013; but the only edition where Nigeria did not clinch the first place trophy being in South Africa in 2010.
