The Principal of Government Day Secondary School Kwamba in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger Stae, Mrs Talatu Bala Pai as well as the Principal of Community Secondary School Suleja, Aishatu A. Umar have been conferred with media merit awards by the management of Orator Communications Limited, Publishers of Orator weekly newspaper based in Niger State and Abuja.
Mrs Talatu Bala Pai received a award of distinguished “Visionary Academia” while the Principal of Community Secondary School Suleja was given an award of distinguished “Astute Academia”.
However, the entire staff and management of GDSS Kwamba were honoured with an award of “Visionary Educator” alongside the entire staffers and top management of Community Secondary School Suleja who were bestowed with an award of “Visionary Educator”.
Performing the ceremony, the Managing Editor of Orator weekly newspaper, Mr Nasir Oseni said the awards were conferred on the two principals in order to ginger them to move their schools forward educationally.
In their separate responses, Mrs Talatu Bala Pai and Aishatu A. Umar thanked the Orator organisation for the honour.
Meanwhile, some of the staff who spoke during the ceremony commended their principals for restructuring the schools for an academic excellence.
