Stakeholders have called on the Federal Government to establish an inter ministerial committee to avoid the mistakes and hurdles in the National Anti-Corruption Strategy NACS 1.
They made the call during a two day stakeholders dialogue on National Anti -Corruption Strategy (NACS11) and pending anti corruption bills.
Speaking earlier, the Project Manager of Strengthening Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement (SCALE) project Mr. Ovie Assurance said NACS was founded on five pillars of prevention, public engagement, ethical re-orientation, law enforcement and sanctions, as well as recovery of proceeds of crimes.
According to him, NACS had witnessed a major setback due to the non-formation and inauguration of the Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) as provided for in the NACS document.
