2-year-old girl raped to death in Bauchi -Police

Bauchi State Police Command has said that a two year old girl has been allegedly raped to death in Ningi local government area of Bauchi State.
This Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchí State Command, Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, stated this in a press release issued on Tuesday.
Mohammed, a superintendent of police, said the incident occurred on November 5, 2024.
He said the crime was reported at the Ningi Police Divisional Headquarters.
“The motionless body of a two-year-old baby was found beside a Mosque on Deneva Street, Ningi LGA, with suspected signs of rape,” he stated.
“Upon receiving the report, detectives were dispatched to the scene, and the victim’s body was taken to the General Hospital Ningi, where a medical report confirmed that the baby had suffered severe injuries as result of penetration which led to her death”.
The Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, has condemned the incident, describing it as a heinous crime.
The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police has directed the Divisional Police Officer to make extra efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
