Suspected bandits kill 10 in Niger community

No fewer than 10 people have been killed by suspected bandits in Wayam community of Sabon-Gari District in Rafi local government area of Niger state.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning while people were preparing for work.
Reports revealed that the criminals were on motorcycles shooting sporadically to scare the residents.
Our reporter gathered that three people weee killed and two women were slaughtered for rejecting their sexuality advances.
Our reporter also gathered that five other people died of gunshot wounds.
A prominent community source told our reporter on telephone that the community is currently deserted following the attack due to lack of security presence in the area.
He added that all the deceased have been buried amidst tears.
“The attackers always retrieve back to Kaduna state after their attacks because the communities are boardering Kaduna Birinin Gwari axis of kaduna state.
It would be recalled that in the last six months, bandits attacked Madaka community few kilometres from Wayam where about sixty people were killed.
When contacted the Niger state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO SP Wasiu Abiodun could not respond at the time of filing the report.
