Crisis of confidence is currently rocking the Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the southern senatorial district of the party accused an Abuja based woman of hijacking the party structures in the State.

Investigations by our Correspondent revealed that some PDP Chieftains from Kwara south reportedly met weekend at Isapa in Ekiti local government area of the State and resolved to stage a protest against alleged marginalisation and domineering tendencies of the said business woman of Kwara central senatorial district origin in the State.

A reliable source close to the Kwara south PDP stakeholders meeting said they frowned at the alleged ambitious moves of the said woman politician believed to be a confidant of the first Lady of federation, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan.

The parley held at the country home of the Senator representing the district in the National Assembly, Senator Simeon Ajibola, reportedly reviewed the recent visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the State, the need to move the party forward through registration of more members, preparation for the various congresses, supporting the re-election bid of Mr. President and the need to fight the menace of marginalization within the party.

The party stalwarts resolved to fight this ugly trend and nip it in the bud in the interest of the party in the State and that a situation where the Kwara south PDP would be stampeded into supporting any selfish business intention of an individual against the collective interest of the party and the general good of the society would definitely not be tolerated.
